Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Assemblers Lab (“we”, “us”) collects through assemblerslab.com and when you contact us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Assemblers Lab builds production-ready apps for non-technical founders. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@assemblerslab.com.
What we collect
- When you book a call. Booking runs on Cal.com. You give your name, email address and any notes you choose to add, and Cal.com shares them with us so we can hold the call.
- When you email us or ask for a free review. The review button opens your own email app with a short message for you to send. We receive what you send: usually your name, email address, a link to your app and what you tell us about it.
- When you work with us. Contact and billing details, and the information needed to do the work. This is covered by our agreement with you as well as this policy.
- When you visit the site. Like every website, our hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. If we turn on visitor statistics, we use a privacy-friendly analytics service (Umami or Plausible) that counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
We don’t ask for sensitive information, and we don’t buy lists or collect information about you from data brokers.
How we use it
- To reply to you, hold the calls you book and send the reviews you ask for.
- To prepare proposals and, if we work together, to do the work, invoice and keep proper records.
- To keep the site working, secure and useful, using statistics that don’t identify anyone.
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running our business, on taking steps you’ve asked for before a contract, on performing our contract with you, and on legal obligations such as keeping accounting records.
We don’t sell your personal information, we don’t use it for advertising, and we won’t add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Cal.com, for booking calls, and the video-call service named in your booking.
- Our email provider, for our correspondence with you.
- Our website host, which serves the site and keeps short-lived technical logs.
- Our analytics provider (Umami or Plausible), if visitor statistics are switched on.
- Accountants, lawyers or authorities, when we need to or are required to by law.
Where it is processed
Our team and some of these providers are based outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses our providers offer.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry or call doesn’t lead to work, we delete your details within two years of our last contact, sooner if you ask. If we work together, we keep project and billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Cookies
The site itself doesn’t set cookies. Cal.com may set cookies it needs when you open the booking calendar. Our analytics, if switched on, doesn’t use cookies either.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email hello@assemblerslab.com and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first; you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk).
Children
Our services are for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
